Growing in popularity at record speed, LVT (luxury vinyl tile) is praised by homeowners, developers, contractors, and installers for style, affordability, easy-care, and uncomplicated installation.

Most of all, it’s waterproof; in fact, many installers and contractors praise it for not having to be replaced when there’s a flood.

A sophisticated, high end look: LVT is fit for all rooms

Part of the luxury vinyl family, a thicker, more durable, and waterproof version of standard sheet vinyl.

Want a marble bath, but not in your budget? How about wood floors in the basement game room, a place where genuine wood isn’t recommended for installation?

You can have it!

This vinyl tile is a realistic mimic of wood, tile, or stone, with an almost unlimited assortment of colors, patterns, and species. Modern technology has given us clear and accurate images, as well as embossing that gives textured appearances to the floor, including today's popular wire-brushed look. It's available in matte, gloss, or high gloss finishes.

LVT can be cut into groutable tile-sized pieces or planks. Planks are often associated with wood looks, but many prefer it for stone because the larger format/fewer seams give it a more continuous look, like a slab from the quarry; they also answer the trend for large format tiles.

It’s just as appropriate for the living or bedroom as the kitchen and bath. We’re also seeing it in some more expensive homes.

Stylish strength in LVT flooring

All vinyl is strong, but this version is thicker than standard, with an even heavier top clear wear layer that protects the floor from scratches and scuffs. Spill sit at the top and stain wipe off easily.

With a few exceptions, the flooring "floats' over most subfloors and the pieces click together or can be glued. It can be installed professionally or as a DIY-friendly project. While the subfloor needs to be clean, dry, and level, there are no other repair requirements.
